South Carolina's Fraternal Order of the Police is dedicated to the advancement and protection of law enforcement officers, the promotion of officer benefits, and the fostering of enforcement of law and order.

The The Fraternal Order of Police is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 310,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today's police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP.

We employ a full time lobbyist in Washington, D.C. who works on national legislation and full time lobbyist here in South Carolina working on state legislation. Not only do we work for your benefits, but also we have available to our members the best legal defense plan. We also provide insurance policies of $5,000 for accidental death or $12,500 for line of duty death.
